About Star Puff

Star Puff is a smoke, vape and convenience shop on Davie Street, in the middle of downtown Vancouver. It is the kind of corner shop you come into for one thing and leave with three: a drink and a bag of chips on the way home, a lighter and papers, a hoodie, or something off the vape wall. Anyone 19 or over is welcome, with ID.

What people come back for

Ask a regular and the answer is almost always the staff. Customers describe the service as friendly and genuinely helpful, the sort where someone takes a minute to find you the right thing instead of pointing at a shelf. The reviews put it more plainly than we would: "best store, best prices, best service, great experience", and "the owner was so nice, as a new customer that was very helpful and I appreciate it".

Price is the other reason. Customers tell us they pay less here than they expect to downtown, and that comes up in the reviews as often as the service does. The shop is clean and recently renovated, which matters when you are in and out of it every week.

What is on the shelves

Snacks and drinks are the heart of it: imported chips, candy and sodas you will not find in a regular corner shop, sitting next to the everyday ones, plus cold drinks and ice cream. Alongside that there is apparel and accessories, from caps and hoodies to bags and sunglasses, and the counter side of the shop carries vapes, e-liquids, papers, glass, lighters and the rest of the smoking range, all of it 19+ and sold in store with ID.

Something new most visits

New stock comes in constantly, and the owner buys for it personally. If an imported snack or a drink is doing well somewhere, it tends to turn up here before it turns up in the chains. It is worth a look along the shelves even if you came in for something specific.
